Tevatron Collider sound Sample

Here’s a link to some sound samples for my newest pedal, the Tevatron Collider.
It’s a distortion pedal with a switchable third clipped gain stage that gives a great metal sound, a switchable oscillator fuzz stage, and a two octave down stage. It also has a voltage sag and feedback loop for some more sonic craziness. $225
The Tevatron Collider is taking shape
So I’ve been making progress on my new pedal design. I’m calling it the Tevatron Collider after the particle accelerator at Fermilab. at its heart it is a 3 gain stage distortion with the third gain stage switchable. This lets it go from a nice tube overdrive into some heavy metal territory. It sounds great for al sorts of stuff from rock to doom to afrobeat. After the ditortion the signal can then be fed into an oscillator which produces a fuzzy square wave to almost glitch sound depending on the previous gain stages. hen finally the signal can be fed into an octave down signal patch to make some great synthy sounds. So the four foot-switches controll these stages of the pedal.
THe first knob on the right controls voltage sag which can produce sputtery fuzz in some modes to screaming self oscillation in others. The next knob is the gain control for the second gain stage which I usually leave all the way up and control the gain from the guitars volume knob, but this knob really shines during the voltage sag and feedback zones where it can control the pitch of what’s going on. The next knob is volume. The fourth knob and switch are a feedback circuit which feeds the outgoing signal into the beginning of the circuit essentially making this pedal a mono synth, able to make sounds with no input signal.
This is a very versatile pedal and a noise makers dream. I hope to have it soldered together in the next week and have some sounds available soon. I’m working on changing up my enclosures a little so the final pedal should be finished in about three weeks give or take.
New pedal on the drawing Board
This is a new pedal I am currently working on. At its heart it is a Higgs Boson Distortion with a couple of stages added on. Right now these include an oscillator that is fed by the distortion circuit to create a more square wave fuzz, reminiscent of a fuzz factory on starve. There is also an octave down stage which creates some very trippy glitchy synth sounds. I want to do a little more prototyping and then get some sound samples up.
